Terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms are between you (the business using Frerer) and Ecoecho Pty Ltd, which runs Frerer (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, you agree to them. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to act for it.
What Frerer does
Frerer helps you run a refer-a-friend program. It gives your customers personal links, records the friends they send, and shows you which thank-you gift cards are due. Frerer does not pay, buy or hold rewards, and does not promise you any number of leads or jobs.
Free beta
Frerer is free while it’s in beta. Features may change while we improve it. Before we start charging, we’ll tell you the price and give you at least 30 days to decide whether to continue.
Your responsibilities
- You owe and pay the rewards you offer, such as gift cards, when your own terms say they’re due. Frerer only keeps track.
- Keep the offer, terms and business details on your pages accurate and up to date.
- Have a privacy policy and link it in your settings, and follow the Privacy Act and the Spam Act.
- Never make a reward depend on a review or social media post. Paying for reviews breaks review site rules and can break Australian Consumer Law.
- Only send your link to people who are happy to hear from you.
- Keep your login safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
Things you must not do
- Pretend to be another business, or make a page for a business you don’t run.
- Use Frerer to send spam or for anything illegal, misleading or harmful.
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of Frerer.
Your data
The referral details your customers and their friends give belong to you. We store and handle them for you, as set out in our privacy policy. You can ask us for a copy, or ask us to delete them, at any time.
Suspending or closing accounts
You can stop using Frerer at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts other people or Frerer at risk. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first.
How Frerer is provided
We work hard to keep Frerer running and accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those rights, and as far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, and during the free beta our total responsibility is limited to $100.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and tell you by email if the change is important.
